Karim asks one of his French friends to look for information on Natalie’s past, especially when she lived in Nice. He must then face disturbing discoveries. Natalie, meanwhile, is under house arrest. While her mother seeks to ward off fate through an ancestral ceremony, her father searches for a way to get her out of the country.
