Alex, a boy who lives with and cares for his eccentric grandmother Miriam whilst his father is largely absent, lives his life by responding to the roll of a die, which is how he decides to punch Alo. Liv, however, is intrigued by him and, having met and hit it off with Miriam, joins him in his die rolling activities. The others are less impressed, especially Mini, who accuses Liv of spending too much time with him.
